Scooter Rooter: Upcoming events

Hey readers.

We have a couple of events coming up which Pat and myself will be riding;

First of all we going to a ride at Monster Sk8tepark on Sunday the 13th. Its just gonna be a training sesh. If you want you can come.

Secondly and more importantly on the 20th of Feb, I Surf + Skate will be holding a Jam at Moorebank Sk8tepark. Its gonna be big, so come down.

MGP: Whose the new Aus Team member?

Last couple months Madd Gear had a couple of problems with it's teams. One Aus Team member was kicked of while in America, one left to come back to his former sponsor Scooter Zone.

Luckily it seems Madd have moved on and it could be only a couple of days before they annouce a new team rider.

Here at *SR* we have been discussing who could it be for sometime. There are alot of rumors about aswell but our best bet is either Hayden 'o Connor or Adam Rouse. Both are wicked riders, Hayden landing the world first double inward.

This isn't a official annoucement but *SR* best bet.

Scooter Rooter Exclusive: New MGP Nitro/Ninja Forks

Alot of forks from the almost brand new Nitro/Ninja are on the verge of snapping and heaps have snap. Thankfully MGP have come out with a new fork which I just saw. It looks exactly the same but the walls of the head tube as twice as thick.

There gonna look like the Nitro but with speedholes running up the deck. Its gonna be the world first deck with speed holes covered by warrenty.

French Id has posted new deck plans on there Facebook page. My guess it has an integrated headtube and a spring less (flex fender) brake.

Madd Gear Pro recently realised the nitro deck but it seems a new deck is already in prototype. Its seems that MGP Aus is actually using them for there East Coast Tour 2. Not alot of other details except that it "looks lighter". More info to come

Why Ladam got kicked off.

Recently Ladam got kicked off the MGP team but why?

Hmm. Ladams deciding (he told others, not madd) 2 days before our Christmas event that we'd confirmed and pre-booked that he couldn't be stuffed going and chose to party instead resulting in deliberately missing a prepaid flight to Melbourne and accommodation with the rest of the madd team who did come to meet the fans and demo for Christmas is a pretty good reason to get kicked off in itself (and not answering or returning the resulting calls wondering what had happened). Totally letting madd, the team mates who did come and fans down. I think a pretty good reason itself though not the only one which won't go into.

We've said before we have no ill-feelings and everyone is friends at the separation, we wish Ladam the best and hope he does well with his future plans. Though yes we do have expectations of our riders and their position as role models in the scoot community which goes beyond riding ability, that's what we ask when they sign on and that's what it takes to stay on.

I've only added more detail here because some of the rumors going round about what happened are worse for Ladam (ie drug use, NO this is NOT true) than the actual truth as above. Hopefully this will put an end to them.

Scooter Rooter wishes Ladam best of luck for the future.
